What is a BIO Facial?

Are you looking for a way to refresh your skin by stimulating the growth of new cells for tissue regeneration?  As we age we lose fat and bone from our facial skeleton.  We also lose stem cell production and the ability to regenerate our tissues causing visible signs of aging like wrinkles, fine lines, age spots and saggy skin.

A BIO facial is safe way to stimulate our own stem cells to repair and regenerate our tissues!

What is a BIO facial?

A BIO facial uses Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) which contains platelet derived growth factor BB (PDGF – BB) alone or in combination with natural biologic products.

The facial is starts with microneedling of the skin using PRP as a glide, followed by application of the product (PRP alone or in combination with natural biologic products), and finally dermal injections of the products which put the product into the dermis for a stronger cellular response!

A BIO facial helps in fostering the existing cells to regrow. Plus, it helps in rebounding your aging skin into fresher-looking skin!

How does this procedure work to treat aging skin?

PDGF – BB was identified more than three decades ago as a serum growth factor for fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and glia cells.1  During an inflammatory response PDGF stimulates mesenchymal cell proliferation and activation of several signaling pathways such as MAPK, PI3K, PLC-γ, PKC-δ, leading to stimulation of cell growth, differentiation, and migration.1

In response to injury, locally produced platelet-derived growth factor is secreted by a diversity of cutaneous cell types whereas target activity is confined to cells such as dermal fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells.2

To put it simply, when there is an injury and PRP is applied, the growth factors it contains stimulates fibroblasts to proliferate bringing collagen and elastin to the area to heal the wound.

In the anti-aging world, the more collagen and elastin that are present = less wrinkles, smoother and tighter skin!

What is the benefit of adding natural biologic products to a BIO facial?

It’s an extra boost!  As we age, the sheer number of our mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) decreases limiting how affectively and quickly we heal and changing the way we look.  The addition of natural biologic products acts as a boost for greater stimulation and instruction for your MSC’s.

These products contain healing components such as collagens, proteins, growth factors, amino acids, cytokines and more that revitalize and replenish your skin for better and longer lasting results!

Where do natural biologic products come from?

Natural biologics products are obtained from healthy, carefully screened mothers at the time of normal delivery. In addition to a stringent social screening interview, all mothers undergo serology testing to ensure there is no risk for a communicable disease. No harm is brought to the mother or her newborn and parents still have the option of storing the cord blood if desired.

Recovery of tissue is performed at the time of delivery by trained technicians in a sterile environment.

All processing is done in a cGMP facility following the regulations of the FDA and the guidelines of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).  All natural biologics products are shipped on dry ice in validated shipping containers to ensure appropriate temperature is maintained.3

If you are searching for a way to make your face look more lively again and without having surgery or injecting fillers a BIO facial may be the answer for you!

Wrinkling, rough-textured appearance, skin laxity are just some of the signs of skin aging. You can fight all the signs of skin aging with the help of a BIO facial. A BIO facial can help in restoring the quality of your skin.
